Steps to Become a Clean Marina

Steps to become a Clean Marina

There are four levels of achievement:

Level 1
Confirming your intent to improve: Clean Marina Pledge

Level 2
Self-Assessment

Level 3
External Assessment

Level 4

Achieving ISO 14001 Certification

The accreditation process is aided by the provision of a step-by-step, easy to follow handbook. The handbook outlines operational guidelines for environmental management, including processes for pumpouts, hull cleaning, turbidity, emissions, management of wastewater and accidental spills as well as staff training and education of boat enthusiasts.
