Global Gold Anchor Scheme

Customer Service Accreditation for Marinas and Residential Canal Estate Marinas

In 2013 MIA and The Yacht Harbours Association committed to create one singular Global Gold Anchor Scheme for the benefit of world marina users and the industry. In April 2016 the new scheme was launched

The Scheme provides a template for customer friendly marina development. The Scheme also assists marinas to more effectively position and differentiate themselves in the market place. Participation provides global performance benchmarking that contributes to continual business improvement. For consumers, Gold Anchor helps their evaluation and selection of marinas aligned with their needs.

The Gold Anchor brand associates with three key attributes:

Gold Anchor marinas provide very good customer service

Gold Anchor marinas represent value for money at all levels of accreditation

Gold Anchor means that recognised industry standards have been achieved

The Scheme is based on an independent third party site assessment of 97 specific items across six evaluation categories which are:

Planning, Policies and Procedures

Customer Service

On Water facilities

On Shore facilities

A survey of marina berth holders also informs the final rating and during the three year validation period of the rating mystery shopper checks are used to ensure the rating standard is being maintained.
