Gold Anchor International Scheme

Customer Service Accreditation for Marinas and Residential Canal Estate Marinas

The Gold Anchor International Scheme has three accreditation streams:

  1. 1. Gold Anchor International Rating Scheme for Marinas
  2. 2. Gold Anchor International Rating Scheme for Residential Canal Estate Marinas
  3. 3. Gold Anchor International General Scheme

The two rating marinas schemes assess marinas according to an independent assessment of its infrastructure, planning and service. Similar to the Star Rating Scheme used by Hotels, the Gold Anchor Rating Scheme assists marinas to differentiate themselves in the market place and helps marina users to choose a marina.

The General Scheme does not rate marinas; rather it applies specified customer service criteria and a commitment by the marina to a customer service code of ethics.

These international schemes are administered by the MIA, drawing membership from marinas, yacht clubs, boat clubs, slips, boatyards, berthing, mooring and many other associated businesses.

The MIA has members from across Australia, New Zealand and into Asia and the Middle East.
