Course Information

The 6 day residential Advanced Marina Management (AMM) program is a profit-management training course designed for senior marina professionals. The course is internationally recognised and offerred in conjunction with the Global Marina Institute

The AMM School offers its graduates a national and international business perspective on management issues, and a long-term network of international contacts to rely on in the future.

MIAA carefully screens applicants to ensure that participants create a well-balanced peer group that will share knowledge and experience equally in this intensive, participatory residency course.

We go beyond the basics and address the leading-edge analysis of progressive business practices. Delegates who successfully complete the course will be recognised as meeting one of the requirements to become a Certified Marina Manager CMM

Prerequisites and Career Pathway

  • Completion of the Intermediate Marina Management course
  • 3 years experience as a senior Marina Manager working day-to-day onsite in a marina of 100 or more berths or 5 years experience in a leadership position in a marina affiliated company
  • Applicants must be responsible for the operations, administration and financial performance of the marina
  • You must be a member of the MIAA either as an individual or through your Marina
  • Places are strictly limited
  • No more than two people from the same marina organisation can attend the course (this ensures a wide mix of delegates)

Registration, Application Requirements, Fees and Pre-Course Assignments

There are experience prerequisites and a number of documents and items that are required to accompany your registration form. This assists us in ensuring you meet all pre-requisites for admission to the course. All details including the course fees are on the one form for you to complete and send to us - AMM Registration and Application Requirements.

Once your registration and application requirements have been received by MIAA, MIAA will review the application to ensure prerequisites and admission requirements have been met.

MIAA will advise you if your registration and application has been approved and will send details to you on the pre-course assignments. If you have not been approved MIAA will advise what requirements have not been met.

Dates and Registration

The course will be held on September 2013. The exact date will be confirmed at the end of 2012.
